Elder James E. Johnson D. DIV. is originally from Stamford, Connecticut, and current resident of Columbus, Ohio since 1988. He is a U S Air Force Disable Veteran, and has earned an A.S. Degree Applied Science from the Community College of the Air Force in Computer Science and a B. A. Degree from Computer Processing Institute, Bridgeport, Conn in Business Administration-Operations Management. He has been awarded 2 Honorariums in Doctor of Divinity and Doctor of Church Administration from Universal Life Ministries Worldwide Church School of Theology, Milford, IL for his life experiences, work and longevity ministering and serving in the recovery community.

After 25 yrs. of Drug Addiction, GOD has delivered him from his addiction and set him free to live in his purpose, to give back and be an example to those who still struggle with addiction. He started Coming from the Heart Ministry a 501 c (3) Non-Profit Community Outreach Organization, a Faith Based Substance Abuse Recovery Intervention Support Group design to uplift and encourage those through the Word of GOD, and his testimony. Over the past 25 years he has had positive relationships with several local agencies in Columbus, Ohio to include: Alvis House, Community Based Correctional Facility (CBCF), The Refuge Ministry, Teen Challenge, Salvation Army, Faith Mission Men’s Shelter, London and Marysville Correctional Facilities and during this time God has planted the seed of hope to over 500+ participants on a volunteer basis giving them an opportunity to make better choices for their lives.

Elder Johnson is a former board member with 10 years of service for The Exit Program who provides Transitional Housing for low-level offenders, drug & alcohol abusers, and homeless veterans.

Elder Johnson is also a former board member with 8 years of service for Push for Christ Ministries who provides Workforce Development & Faith Based Substance Abuse Support Group Counseling for Men & Women ages 18 & up

In addition; to being a former Franklin County Sheriff Clergy in Columbus, OH, a former member with the Ohio Association Non-Profits and an active member at Vineyard-Columbus East Campus serving as a former Small Group Leader for the Men of Excellence.

He is also the proud father of 4 children and 4 grandchildren
